25′ (7.62m) or 27′ (8.23m) dive boat or just fun boat. Beam 10′. Draught (hull only) 1’5″. For construction in either plywood or steel, or as a mould for grp/frp.
The ‘deep V’ hull shape makes her ideal for offshore in most weather. Facility for 2 berths in cabin. Takes engines from 100 to 600hp. Plans give details of either single or twin inboard engine installations as well as inboard/outdrive units.
Inboard petrol engines….100hp with 2 to 1 reduction gives 20mph. 300hp with 1.5 to 1 reduction gives gives 38mph.
Twin petrol engines….70hp with 2 to 1 reduction gives 23mph. 250hp units with direct drive give 44mph.
Diesel engines….100hp with 1.5 to 1 reduction gives 18mph. 250hp with direct drive gives 29mph.
Inboard/outdrive units ….give up to 4mph better performance.
